一、当前英语发展及其英语环境的重要性

随着我国加入WTO，成功举办2008奥运会，以及改革开放的进一步深入，对外交流的进一步加强，社会生活的信息化和经济的全球化，国与国之问的接触越来越频繁，英语学习的重要性越发突出。学习英语已是不可避免的世界潮流。所以很自然地成为许多国家学习外语的标准语言。学习语言都离不开一定的语言环境，没有英语学习的环境是我们学习英语的最大障碍。在英语学习中必须多渠道构建全面而优质的英语学习环境，形成一整套完整的英语学习的环境体系，这对于激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养学生的语言能力，提高学生的交际能力，提高学习的效率和效果，发展英语素质等有着十分重要的作用。也就是说，语言学习离不开语言环境。语言环境在语言学习中起着非常重要的作用。

二、当前我国的英语学习和学习英语环境的现状

在我国，英语热持续升温，五花八门的考试“应运而生”，各种各样的“速成学习材料”铺天盖地。然而，大多数学习者忙于“备考”、疲于“应试”，对英语学习缺乏源自内心的“热情”，学习过程比较被动、痛苦。许多学生一半以上的学习时间花在外语学习上，但收效甚微，“聋哑式英语”、“高分低能”、甚至“低分低能”等现象仍然相当普遍。学习者是在汉语环境下学习英语。学英语不具备在英语语言国家那里得天独厚的语言环境。英语学习主要通过课堂教学来进行，课堂和书本是主要的语言输入来源。课堂教学模式一般是在教师的组织下，围绕教材来进行学习，或听力，或对话，或阅读，或写作，或角色表演等，教学上以传授知识为主;课外，老师一般要求学生预习或复习课文，做各种各样的练习。学生在学习中仅仅局限于英语教材的狭隘范围，仅仅依赖于课堂上被动地听取教师的讲解，仅仅忙碌于应付各类考试的书面练习。这种情况实际上背离了英语学习的目的。违反了语言学习的规律。

要摆脱目前中国英语教学“高投入、低产出”的困境，出路之一就是鼓励学生充分利用现代化外语学习资源和条件，努力建构“自然与真实的”语言环境。语言学习离不开环境，语言环境的缺乏，严重影响语言输入量的摄取，并制约着英语学习活动和效果。本文就学生如何增加自然、真实、地道的语言输入，提出在校内和课外的具体学习策略和多通道创建理想的学习环境，以期切实丰富学习者外语知识，提高外语自主学习能力，弥补语言环境的缺陷。

第一，校内注重校园和课堂环境的刨设。

1.优化校园英语环境。我们要“优化”校园环境，营造出学习英语的浓厚氛围。努力将校园环境建设成为丰富的英语学习环境。校园文化、建筑、景点和室内外布置均用英语做标识牌。班级黑板报要求有生动活泼的英语内容，校园广播、电视播放学生喜闻乐见的英语歌曲、故事、幽默、影视等内容，介绍西方的风土人情，英美各国文化知识。这样，校园环境中随时、随地、随处都能感受到英语，带动学生在校园学习中主动学习英语，从而形成校园英语的环境。
