这部电影讲述的是一位大龄菜鸟快递员瑞奇·特纳的创业故事。

故事的内容讲的是：“瑞奇独自在汽车里哭泣，发生了什么？”

片名《对不起，我们错过了你》原文：“Sorry We Missed You”。这句英文多次出现在电影画面中。

它就印刷在主人公持有的一种小卡片上。

这种卡片是快递公司统一发放给快递员的。其作用是，告知客户投递失败了，就像字面意思一样，由于您不在家，错过了我们的投递。

这里讲一段题外话，一个关于英国快递员的网络段子。

虽然卡片的内容不尽相同，但是英国的快递公司，都使用和电影中作用类似的卡片。

英国的网友在网络上晒快递，将这种小卡片玩儿成了网红。

他们晒出自己收到的快件，核心目的是吐槽英国的快递员。

这些网友的遭遇大致相同，无论是否在家，即便是仅仅晚开门15秒，都会发现自己的快件被快递员扔在了让人哭笑不得的地方。

比如，包裹被挂在门廊的房梁上。

或者，包裹顺着厕所窗子被丢进来，刚好掉到马桶里。

甚至，包裹被藏在门口的地垫下面。想象一下，下班回家时，一件一人高的大包裹，孤零零地站在自家门前，头上顶着一片小巧的地垫。这种情形下，当事人估计先是被萌翻，然后是被气晕。

不管快件的下落多么匪夷所思，总会有一张写着“Sorry We Missed You”的小卡片，被妥妥当当的安放在门口醒目的位置上。

话题回到电影上来。

故事的主人公，菜鸟快递员瑞奇·特纳。

说他是菜鸟，因为瑞奇此前没有送快递的经验。电影一开始，瑞奇完成了加盟快递公司的面谈，顺利签约，成为萌新快递小哥一枚。

随后，瑞奇大步流星地踏上了创业之路，不过，他的脚步迈得太大，也迈得太急。

本来，没有货车的加盟者，可以租用快递公司的货车。

可是，瑞奇却执意要自己买车。创业嘛，要搞就要搞全套的。

另外，瑞奇本可以买一辆便宜一点儿的货车。当然，这样的车，配置稍低，载货量也要小一些。不过，这样可以减少投入，也能降低风险。

结果，在朋友的怂恿下，瑞奇反而决定一步到位，买一辆配置更高，载货量也更大的货车，相应的，价格更昂贵，不得不分期购车。

还有更冲动的，为了付买车的首付，瑞奇卖掉了妻子的小轿车。这是家里唯一一件还算值钱的财产。

这一通折腾之后，本来欠了一屁股债还穷得叮当响的特纳家，既多了一笔看得见的损失，又添了一项看不见的风险。

往好的方向看，好日子总算有些盼头了。然而，事实却远远不是如此简单。

令人深感不安的是，瑞奇和快递公司签订的是一份不平等的加盟合同，其中存在着巨大的隐患。

瑞奇不是受雇于快递公司，而是加盟。用快递公司的说法，瑞奇是“自雇”，也就是自己当老板，雇佣自己。

说得好听一点儿，瑞奇是一位自由职业者，讲得时髦一些，瑞奇是一名“零工经济”下的从业者，表达得通俗一点儿，瑞奇是一名个体户。

在快递公司眼中，瑞奇这样的劳动力，比雇员更划算。

首先，自雇者工作起来更拼命。自雇者自以为，是替自家生意劳作，所以干活比普通雇员更卖力。

其次，使用自雇者，快递公司不用承担雇主应承担的责任和义务。比如，为员工缴纳保险或者提供休假。

但是，自称“加盟主”的快递公司，对自雇者的管理比对待雇员更严厉，对待自雇者的态度也更冷酷。

这种加盟方式下，快递员们承担了很大的风险，而且出现问题时，他们毫无保障。

瑞奇·特纳虽然是快递员中的小萌新一枚，却不再年轻。人到中年，拖家带口，夫妻二人养育着一双儿女。

长子正是半大小子，先不论饭量是不是能吃死老子，单说这孩子对父亲若隐若现的瞧不起，再加上青春期不可避免的叛逆，就足够活活气死瑞奇好几回。

瑞奇看着是个粗人，其实他对家人很温和，从来不和妻子吵架，即便儿子时常逃学，和亲爹说话也是没规没矩的，就这样，都没对孩子动过粗。

他想对儿子好言相劝、以理服人吧。瑞奇又不善言辞，讲不过孩子。

长子虽然是问题青年，可脑袋瓜好使。小伙子的思想也许略显偏激，而且有些愤世嫉俗。不过，他对自己的家庭，以及同样阶层的人，在英国社会中的处境，却看了个通透。于是，小小年纪已经看破红尘，无心向学，一心追寻艺术之路。

令人欣慰的是，小女儿聪明伶俐，十分乖巧。小小年纪，不但会照顾自己，日常生活，学习功课，都不用父母操心，还能替妈妈督促不成器的哥哥。

很多个夜晚，操劳一天的特纳夫妇，狼狈的在沙发上睡着。女儿总是悄悄的收拾好父母留在桌子上，来不及收拾的餐具。

女儿周末一有机会，就陪爸爸送快递。小姑娘干起活儿来，比起瑞奇这个当爹的，要机灵许多。

和父亲吃午饭时，尽管只有一块简陋的三明治当午餐，女儿还是会说很多暖心的话哄父亲开心。看着身边的小棉袄，瑞奇觉得，自己累到吐血也心甘情愿。

可是，女儿毕竟是个孩子，再懂事，也会有闯祸的时候。这古灵精怪的小丫头，也时不时会做出一些脑回路清奇的荒唐事。让瑞奇防不胜防。

最难的还是瑞奇的妻子艾比，一名护理员。

客户大多是老年人或残疾人，早上要挨家挨户叫醒起床还要做早餐。平时除了陪伴，还要伺候大小便。运气不好的时候，遇到态度恶劣的客户也必须笑脸相迎，好言相劝。

要知道，瑞奇卖掉的小汽车，是艾比奔波于各家客户之间的交通工具。

每当瑞奇收入不稳定时，艾比是家庭唯一的经济来源。因为瑞奇要面子，不愿意申请失业救济金。

如今，瑞奇要创业，艾比为了支持丈夫，甘愿让丈夫卖掉自己的汽车，坐公交车辗转于各家客户之间。

如此一来，本来就十分辛苦的艾比，现在更加劳累。再加上来自家庭的生活压力，妻子情绪上的失控，只是时间问题。

儿子的瞧不起、女儿的鼓励、还有妻子的辛劳和委屈，瑞奇全都看在心里。他不能辜负妻儿，因此急着抓住任何看似有希望的机会来摆脱贫穷。

08年世界金融危机之前，瑞奇是一名建筑工人。

特纳夫妇选好了心仪的房子，甚至办妥了房贷的手续，温暖的家近在咫尺。

然而，银行突然出了问题，瑞奇更是丢了工作。从此，特纳家再也没能拥有自己的房子。

此后，瑞奇找不到稳定的工作，只能辗转于各种兼职或者短工之间，

他受够了施工现场非人的工作环境，无法忍受不可理喻的雇主和好吃懒做的同事，更是对房东的诸多刁难深恶痛绝。

终于，在电影开始之前的某一天，瑞奇的朋友向他推荐了这家快递公司，还有他们的加盟项目。

瑞奇觉得，这就是自己等待许久的机会。

因为，他能做自己的老板，没有雇主的盘剥。

虽然没有保底工资，却是按劳取酬，多劳多得，因此，干活勤快的瑞奇，再也不用被废柴同事拖后腿。

最重要的是，可观的收入。只要顺利做够一段时间，就能买一套渴望已久的房子，告别出租房，再也没有恼人的房东在耳边碎碎念。

人类的大脑，是狡猾的小恶魔，它最擅长在人们耳边甜言蜜语，让你心甘情愿的只盯着自己想要的东西看，却对摆在眼前的危险视而不见。

瑞奇放手一搏、孤注一掷，他朝着脱贫致富的可能性奋力奔跑时，却没看到，他带给家庭的巨大隐患。

特纳家虽然贫困，但是尚能维持温饱。可是现在，稍有不慎，这个家庭将会，食不果腹、巨额债务缠身，甚至落入露宿街头的境地。

瑞奇的创业之路是否顺利，特纳家的未来将何去何从，这就是电影《对不起，我们错过了你》要为我们讲述的故事。

近些年的电影中，英国人出现最多的是奇幻世界，哈利波特，指环王，权力的游戏。

然而，这部电影中没有奇迹和魔法，只有琐碎日常。

不过，琐碎却并不枯燥。电影就像一本英伦日常入门指南，底层劳动者的生活见解和知识，溶解在剧情中，沉浸感十足。

电影带我们见识了，没有城堡和迷宫的英国街头，体验奇幻世界以外的英国凡人生活。

5分送给，难以下咽的“糟心”。

人到中年糙老爷们儿，纹花刺字，玩儿车轮子的人，怎么说哭就哭了呢？带病工作，谁都有过类似的经历，至于哭鼻子吗，什么事，糟心到咽不下去的地步。

觉得不至于的，您或许是时过境迁，释然了。

更有可能的是，糟心的事没组团拜访。

其实，电影可以改名为，《瑞奇为什么哭》。

都说生活就像白开水一样。导演肯·洛奇不愧为大师，一个开车的男人独自落泪，淡如清水的一幅生活图景，被大师延展出了茶韵。

电影的高潮由一次偶然事件引发，电影结局的必然性被削弱，剧情原本缜密的逻辑性被打断。

瑞奇承受着繁重工作和家庭纠纷的双重压力，已经心力交瘁，不过，瑞奇的身心还能承受。

就在这时，一场抢劫，首先击垮了瑞奇的身体，将他的内心推向崩塌。电影的剧情达到高潮。

乍看之下，这场抢劫没有什么不妥。在生活中，抢劫发生得突然且毫无征兆。对受害者而言，遭遇抢劫是典型的偶然事件。

生活中充斥着偶然事件，但是，在电影的世界中，偶然事件不能随心所欲的出现。

瑞奇的创业故事，可以由一次偶然事件引发。比如，他偶然听到朋友加盟了快递公司，生意还不错，于是决定加盟这家公司。然后，电影开始了。

观众有一整部电影的时间，见证电影开始时的一次偶然事件，如何在电影大师的手中，转变为影片结束时，无法避免的必然结局。

瑞奇遭遇的这次抢劫，这桩偶然事件，出现在电影接近尾声之时。其后果是，整部电影精心营造出的必然性，瞬间变成了偶然，结局并非无可避免的客观事实，而是作者的刻意安排。高潮的爆发力大打折扣。

电影表达了一个开放式的观点，虽然巧妙，但是影响观影体验。

电影开始时，瑞奇的大段独白，他叙述过往的工作经历，和每一次选择换工作的原因。比如条件太艰苦，工作太零碎，同事太懒惰，干着不起劲等等。

电影快结束时，瑞奇被匪徒群殴，伤势严重，却执意坚持去工作。儿子挡在货车前劝阻他，瑞奇向儿子解释道，他必须工作，自己别无选择。

一头一尾，瑞奇身上发生了改变。从能够自由选择是否工作，变成了别无选择的人。

导演究竟是想指责资本将自由的劳动者逼迫成了拥有自由的奴隶。

还是想赞扬，创业过程的磨砺和家庭成员间剪不断的羁绊，让一个习惯放弃的老男孩成长为不轻言放弃的成熟男人。

站在不同的角度，两个观点似乎都能说得通。

这是因为，从以上的两方面，剧情都没将主人公逼迫到极限。

瑞奇仍然有放弃一切的权利，就像儿子对父亲的劝告，只要回到从前就好。

同时，一时冲动的决定也证明不了瑞奇已经彻底改变。冷静之后，他仍有可能，再次选择放弃。

这种情况，带来的效果，一种是观众觉得电影不够尽兴，因为人们渴望在电影中感受极端的生活体验。

另一种是困惑，观众会疑惑，电影是不是没拍完。

不过，逐年追影主观认为，导演观点的开放式表达，有独特且巧妙之处。
