团队在搭建人工湖、摄影棚的同时，泰坦尼克号巨大的船体模型也在艺术总监Charles
Lee的带领下建造着。一开始团队打算用临时的帆布来搭建这些场景，但是考虑到拍摄周期将会很长，最后决定使用钢结构。

为了进度，船上的布景建设必须同时进行。还有大部分的内部设施，舱餐厅、那个豪华楼梯等都是在墨西哥城制作完成，再拆开运到罗萨里托，再由工作人员装配起来 。
