Review on Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump, a movie directed by Robert Zemeckis, won the best picture of the 67th Academic Award in 1994. Besides, it got other five prizes, like the best achievement in directing, the best visual effect, and so on.

This movie was adapted改编 from a novel of the same name which was written by Winston Groom and was a best seller for more than one year. Forrest Gump is also the name of the hero, who was born in a beautiful, quiet small town located at Alabama, a state of Southern U.S. From when he was young, Forrest had been leading a hard life, for the reason that he had mental problems as well as physical problems. As a child with a low IQ, he was not qualified to go to the normal primary school. But his mother, who held the view that her son was a smart boy as other children, struggled to give him a better ecation in one way or another, and finally she succeeded to get Forrest into the normal primary school. In this primary school, Forrest met Jenny, a girl whom he would missed day and night for many years. Time travels fast, and soon it was time for their graation from college. Forrest joined the army, while Jenny wanted to be a singer. In the night before Forrest were sent to Vietnam, he met Jenny outside. “I am not a smart man,” said Forrest in the moonlight. “But I know what love is.” Then they separated, and met again until several years later. Finally, Forrest made a great many brilliant achievements, both when he was in the army and after he retired. What is the most important was that he married Jenny and got a son who is a very smart boy.

A great many people, including me, take the view that this movie is excellent in interestedness as well as the depth of thought. “Life was like a box of chocolate, you never know what you’re gonna get.” Many people had been totally struck by this simple but wise sentence, whose correctness had been proved by Forrest with his entire lifetime. When people were all but going to be defeated by life, and when people were desperate, this sentence would come into their minds, inspire them and give them courage to move on.

In my opinion, a good movie should not only bring people pleasure but also lead people to think deeply. Absolutely, this movie meets both the two goals. Therefore, I would say that Forrest Gump is the best movie I’ve ever seen.

Also , when the braces finally fall from his legs , it turns out he can run like the wind , that’s how he gets a college football scholarship , in a life story that everything becomes a running gag about his good luck .
There is a sentence I will not forget . “I am not a smart man , but I know what love is .” Love is this film’s theme , the love in this film is a process which a man with low IQ speaks out “love” . I think that Forrest doesn’t only say love to Jenny but also say to his mother and Buba . Because the love realized by Forrest includes many things , not only heart , the death of his mother and many times Jenny’s disappearance let Forrest know what love is . In fact , no matter whether Jenney love Forrest ,Forrest gets love and we get love from this film .
