②but 连接两个简单句：
这里有一种可能性：but 连接了两个句子，而在后面的句子中有一个省略结构，省略了主语和谓语。不知道你们老师讲没讲过省略结构。其实，完整的句子是这样的：
None of us felt very tired but (we felt) quiet happy......
这种省略方法，其实是把前一句None of us felt very tired等同于了 We felt not very tired.

有人可能不理解，因为在语法中主谓相同的时候才可以省略第二个句子的主语和谓语。而在形式上看来第一句的主语是none of us。但是不要忘了，none 和never一样，是可以直接起否定意义的。那么这时把none转移到后面看做 no 或not是有道理的。换句话说none of 这个词语，就等于 don't 。不要直译成“没有人感到……”而是翻译为“没感到……”

那么在这种情况下，这是一个非常规矩的结构：not...but...不是。。。而是。。。
这也是没有问题的，而且在这种情况下必须用否定的none，否则没有否定词，这种结构就消失了。正是none给予了一个否定词使得句子结构变得清晰完整。

所以，从but的角度看来，填everyone和none都说得过去，而且个人觉得none的结构要好很多。因为这种结构正式，严格，高级。

另外，我觉得另一个最重要的问题在于，every one不对。
要知道，every one 与everyone的根本区别在于，前者是名词短语，后者是代词。

从这点上来讲，everyone of us要比every one of us 强很多。
