在听说一个好莱坞导演要拍摄《小王子》的时候，我想所有法国人的心情一定是崩溃的，他们的担心和中国观众关于改编西游记的担心是一样的：毁童年!更何况拍摄《小王子》这样的经典，本来就是极不讨好的，通常都会被评论虐成狗。

结果却是：所有观众都被电影感动到哭成狗。这应该是今年收获全世界最多泪水的动画电影了。

在戛纳国际电影节电影放映结束时，近两千名观众和媒体不约而同地站了起来，长时间鼓掌向影片主创致敬，在戛纳为影片鼓掌已经成为衡量一部电影成功与否的最经典标志，你可以出钱买任何东西，但是买不到戛纳的掌声，经久不息的掌声让到场的导演马克•奥斯朋等人也情不自禁落泪。

故事其实很简单，甚至是很老套，也绝对不是原书的电影版，而是由一老一少的友谊带出了小王子的故事。当电影开始的时候，原书中那个飞行员已经老了，有一天，邻居家那个“学霸”小女孩儿收到了一架有小王子插画原稿的纸飞机，老人对女孩儿说起年轻时在撒哈拉见到过小王子的故事。童话就似如歌行板般地铺展开来。
