新世界裡，每一個演員都奉獻了教科書般的演技，包括打醬油的。黃政民的演技肯定沒的說，這個並不是很帥的大叔硬是把一個黑社會老大演得立體親切，黃政民在新世界裡扮演一個叫做丁青的黑幫大哥，他經常往返於中國和韓國之間，電影的一開始，在聽說自己的老大離奇死於車禍的時候，丁青的表情很復雜，他本想通過和平演變成為皇太子，然後順理成章的上位，但是這下美夢破滅了，丁青的表情很失望也很無奈，甚至有點怨恨，但是面對自己的好兄弟李子成疲憊不堪的臉，丁青還是希望能逗他開心，拿出山寨版的手錶送給兄弟，被拆穿之後馬上甩鍋，那一刻，殺人不眨眼的黑幫老大變成了鬼馬哥們，讓人忍俊不禁。

新世界雖然刻畫的是打打殺殺的黑幫，但是每個演員的表演都特別細膩傳神，就連沒幾句台詞的延邊老棒子表演的都那麼到位。還有，本劇的黑社會每天都西裝革履，特別帥氣。
