三、實驗與觀察
從事基礎或臨床護理科學研究與撰寫論文，進行必要的動物實驗或臨床觀察是極重要的一步，既是獲得客觀結果以引出正確結論的基本過程，也是積累論文資料准備寫作的重要途徑。實驗是根據研究目的，利用各種物質手段（實驗儀器、動物等），探索客觀規律的方法；觀察則是為了揭示現象背後的原因及其規律而有意識地對自然現象加以考察。二者的主要作用都在於搜集科學事實，獲得科研的感性材料，發展和檢驗科學理論。二者的區別在於「觀察是搜集自然現象所提供的東酉，而實驗則是從自然現象中提取它所願望的東西。」因此，不管進行動物實驗還是臨床觀察，都要詳細認真．以各種事實為依據，並在工作中做好各種記錄。

四、資料搜集與處理
資料是構成論文寫作的基礎。在確定選題、進行設計以及必要的觀察與實驗之後，做好資料的搜集與處理工作，是為論文寫作所做的進一步准備。
論文寫作資料可分為第一手資料與第二手資料兩類。前者也稱為第一性資料或直接資料，是指作者親自參與調查、研究或體察到的東西，如在實驗或觀察中所做的記錄等，都屬於這類資料；後者也稱為第二性資料或間接資料，是指有關專業或專題文獻資料，主要靠平時的學習積累。在獲得足夠資料的基礎上，還要進行加工處理，使之系統化和條理化，便於應用。對於論文寫作來說，這兩類資料都是必不可少的，要恰當地將它們運用到論文寫作中去，注意區別主次，特別對於文獻資料要在充分消化吸收的基礎上適當引用，不要喧賓奪主。對於第一手資料的運用也要做到真實、准確、無誤。
五、論文寫作提綱
擬寫論文提綱也是論文寫作過程中的重要一步，可以說從此進入正式的寫作階段。首先，要對學術論文的基本型（常用格式）有一概括了解，並根據自己掌握的資料考慮論文的構成形式。對於初學論文寫作者可以參考雜志上發表的論文類型，做到心中有數；其次，要對掌握的資料做進一步的研究，通盤考慮眾多材料的取捨和運用，做到論點突出，論據可靠，論證有力，各部分內容銜接得體。第三，要考慮論文提綱的詳略程度。論文提綱可分為粗綱和細綱兩種，前者只是提示各部分要點，不涉及材料和論文的展開。對於有經驗的論文作者可以採用。但對初學論文寫作者來說，最好擬一個比較詳細的寫作提綱，不但提出論文各部分要點、而且對其中所涉及的材料和材料的詳略安排以及各部分之間的相互關系等都有所反映，寫作時即可得心應手。
六、執筆寫作
執筆寫作標志著科研工作已進入表達成果的階段。在有了好的選題、豐富的材料和詳細的提綱基礎上，執筆寫作應該是順利的，但也不可掉以輕心。一篇高質量的學術論文，內容當然要充實，但形式也不可不講究，文字表達要精煉、確切，語法修辭要合乎規范，句子長短要適度。特別應注意的是，一定要採用醫學科技語體，用陳述句表達，減少或避免感嘆、抒情等語句以及俗言俚語，也不要在論文的開頭或結尾無關聯系黨政領導及其言論或政治形勢。
