如果去掉那些超炫的動作場面，影片的懸疑成分倒也可以作為希區柯克發展的空間，巧合的是，希區柯克倒還真有部叫《史密斯行動》的電影，不過兩者的相同點估計也只是名字而已。
超炫的動作場面、大量的特技、槍戰、飆車、爆炸，這就像幾乎大部分夏季大片的風格，不過，如果這樣一部影片里，如果還不乏《玫瑰戰爭》般黑色搞笑因素、極度性感的外衣、懸疑色彩、浪漫愛情甚至是對婚姻問題的討論，那可就不是能不屑一顧當成一般眼球炸彈的了！
由《諜影重重》導演道格·里曼執導的本片，除了超炫的視效特技、高難度的動作戲、彼得朱莉這對魅力組合，有趣的故事橋段，同《諜影重重》一樣，也讓間諜電影有了不少讓人耳目一新的場面--兩段刺激驚險的舞蹈、充滿秘密的豪宅以及房屋中凶險有趣的打鬥。據說，影片還有個讓人極度意外的結局，就不知道誰能猜透乾坤了！
