周衛國曾在黃埔軍校學習，是黃埔第九期學員，並且以全校最優異的成績畢業。畢業後被派往德國留學，留學期間認識了好朋友日本軍人竹下俊。兩人相見恨晚，都很欣賞對方的才華和軍事才能。在兩年的交往中周衛國跟竹下俊學會了日語，其熟練程度就連竹下俊的侍從都誤以為他是日本京都人。而且還跟竹下俊學會了劍術，其劍術水平至少達到七段（共九段，竹下俊為八段）。但是畢竟兩人都是軍人，而軍人應以服從為天職，正值日軍侵華的時代背景下，周衛國只能與竹下俊劃地絕交，並且告訴竹下俊日後只要他敢踏入中國，就一定與他決一死戰。這種「個人利益比諸國家利益，微不足道」的情懷，無疑深深地打動了觀眾。在南京保衛戰失敗後周衛國痛失戀人，負傷逃亡到清風寨，落草為寇，並且成了「二當家的」。恨「鬼子」入骨，急切想為戀人報仇的周衛國，帶領清風寨的兄弟們一連打了「一線天伏擊戰」、「清風口之戰」兩場以少許兵力全殲鬼子的戰役，由此周衛國在鬼子里的名聲越來越大。最終周衛國成為優秀的八路軍指揮官，他的的傳奇經歷自然不必說，而劇中配角們也毫不遜色，他們為《雪豹》添加了許多饒有趣味的看點。比如劇中的「俠盜」劉三就頗有民間傳說中的「燕子李三」那種飛檐走壁、劫富濟貧的風采。不僅精通帶兵打仗，而且會自製各種有特定作用的武器（如定時炸彈）的張楚。槍法很準的水生，憨厚正直、大大咧咧的楊大力，豪爽俠義、敢作敢為的「朱老大」以及清風寨的眾好漢們，而正是這群個個身懷絕技的奇俠，團結在一起，通過隊長周衛國的訓練，變成了一支以少勝多、善奇襲、能作戰的隊伍，為「虎頭山」抗日根據地最後取得抗戰勝利立下了汗馬功勞。

In my opinion,I think it's better to watch movies first.Some times the books are too thick that cannot draw our attention.After wathing movies,we may be attracted by the exciting or moving stories,that will make us eager to know more.So that we can learn both about the story and the perfect expressions in the book.
