標準的劇本格式有其專業功能，電影劇本的基本讀者范圍很窄：製片人、導演、演員、攝影、美術、服裝和化妝等主創人員。規范、標準的劇本能讓上述專業人員在劇本中清楚地看到自己的分內工作。
標准格式的劇本，讓演員和主創立刻就能找到「對話部分」和「動作部分」，方便評估每場戲的「對話」與「動作」的比重、演員戲份的比重，以及「內景」戲與「外景」戲的比重。閱讀這種格式的劇本，你可以很容易看清和區分「場景」、「時間」、「人物」、「動作」和「對話」，一目瞭然。

鑒於最近審閱大量電影劇本，發現中國電影劇本格式目前十分混亂，特發此文，僅供專業編劇參考。
很多中國電影編劇忽視電影劇本標准格式的專業功能，小說與劇本界限不清，有些甚至自以為是，想當然地創造了千奇百怪、五花八門的劇本格式，場景定義不清晰，將對話與動作描寫混在一起，人物和對話混在一起，讓主創無法分清哪兒是「對話」，哪兒是「動作」。電影劇本的構成只有四個基本要素：場景描寫（Scene）、人物（Character）、對話（Dialogue）和動作描寫（Action），要明確區分。

一
（二毛家裡。）
素芬：二毛，我們這回到哪裡去旅遊嘛？
二毛：這回啦，我們要走就走遠點，我們走西安去，看兵馬坑。
素芬：兵馬坑有哪樣看事嘛？
二毛：這你就不懂了撒，這個兵馬坑裡二千多年前的秦始皇的陪葬坑，歷史之悠久，規模之巨大都是世界上獨一無二的，別個那些外國的總統啊國王啊到中國訪問，沒有不去看兵馬坑的！
素芬：那到西安去要好多錢呢？
二毛：耶，一個人起碼機票錢就要千多塊。
素芬：啊！那我們三個人單是機票錢就要三千多塊呀？這還是單面，一個來回不就要遭六千塊呀？
二毛：小毛可以買半票撒。
素芬：即使小毛買半票還不是要五千來塊錢啦？哎喲，我心口啷個痛起來了啦？
二毛：（神秘地）我有個主意。
素芬：（興奮起來）有啥子好主意，你快點說來聽好兒呢？
二毛：我們把小毛藏在行李箱頭。
素芬：這個啷個要得喲？人是活的了嘛，一是小毛哭鬧啷個辦？二是箱子頭氧氣不足啷個辦？
二毛：氧氣不足好辦，只要在箱子上整幾個透氣孔就行，哭鬧就更好辦，只要給小毛喂點安定，保證他在箱子頭睡得舒舒服服的。你想，重慶到西安，只要個多鍾頭就攏了。
素芬：（高興地）是個好辦法耶，楞個一來，這張半價機票錢就可以全部省下了！哎呀，老公，你真是太聰明了！
（素芬抱著二毛親了一口，二毛顯得十分得意。）

（機場候機廳）
素芬：二毛，我去上個廁所，你把行李盯到點哈？
二毛：曉得，你去嘛！
（素芬剛一走，一小偷拿了一個相同模樣同樣大小的箱子走到二毛身邊，趁二毛眼睛打望之際，迅速將箱子掉包。二毛一點也未察覺。）
（二人順利登機。當飛機起飛後，二人會心地相視一笑，以為計劃成功。）
（小偷提著沉甸甸的箱子走出機場，打的開往市區。）
（一出租房裡，小偷迫不及待地打開箱子，一看熟睡中的小毛，頓時傻了眼。）
小偷：難道那對男女是人販子嗎？不行，要是遭警察發現了，還以為我是人販子哦，販賣人口比犯盜竊罪大多了！啷個辦呢？
（小偷急得在房間里來回踱步。）
（小毛突然醒來，見一陌生男人，「哇」一聲就哭了起來。）
（小偷見狀，趕忙將小毛嘴捂住。）
小偷：小朋友，你不要哭，我是你爸爸的好朋友，是他讓我把你送回你的家去。你告訴叔叔，你的家在哪裡？叔叔馬上把你送回去。
（小偷一鬆手，小毛又「哇」一聲哭起來。）
小偷：（露出凶光）你再哭，我就用膠帶把你的嘴粘住，拿繩子把你捆起來！
（小毛真的被嚇住，不哭了。）
小偷：你告訴叔叔，你的家在哪裡？叔叔馬上送你回去。
（小毛兩眼驚恐地看著小偷，說不出話來。）

（二毛素芬走出西安機場，打的來到旅館，進了房間，二人迫不及待地打開箱子。見箱子里只有幾塊破磚頭，二人同時傻了眼。）
二毛：啊！啷個回事呢？肯定是遭小偷掉包了！
素芬：（哇，一聲哭了起來，一屁股坐在地上）我的小毛了！你還不去跟我找回來！還在這里傻站起！小毛要是有個三長兩短，我也不活了！
二毛：（目光呆滯，哭相）我在哪裡去找嗎？！
素芬：趕快報警撒，你這個傻兒！
（二人立即退掉房間，打的來到機場治安室）
素芬：警察同志，我們的娃兒丟了，你無論如何要幫我們找到我的娃兒。
警察：你們說慢點，我登一下記。是怎麼回事？
二毛：（低下頭）是楞個回事，我們為了省一張機票錢就將我們只有三歲的小毛藏在行李箱頭，結果，結果不曉得在哪點遭賊娃子掉了包。我們到了旅館打開箱子一看，裡面只有幾塊破磚頭，你看嘛，（打開箱子）這里。
警察：我說你們，叫我怎麼說你們才好？這種事你們都做得出來，虧你們還是孩子的父母，一點也不為孩子的安全著想！要是孩子出了事，你們…….
（二毛素芬羞愧地低下頭）
素芬：我曉得我們做錯了，二回再也不敢了。但這好兒要緊的是盡快把娃兒找到！
警察：讓我想想，你們在西安機場從傳送帶上拿到箱子以後，在將箱子放到計程車上之前，這段時間里，箱子離開過你的手嗎？
二毛：保證沒有。
警察：這就是說箱子不是在西安被掉的包，而是在重慶機場。小偷掉了包以後，肯定不會去乘飛機，而是想盡快找個地方打開箱子找錢財。小偷一旦發現小孩，一是會向你們敲詐勒索，二是將孩子丟棄。對，你們趕快乘飛機回重慶，我立即給重慶方面取得聯系）

（二毛素芬乘飛機回重慶。）
警察：剛才西安方面給我們介紹了情況，如果小偷要敲詐勒索，一是從小孩嘴裡套出你家的地址和電話，但這對於一個只有三歲的小孩可能性不大；再就是從箱 子里找出你的聯系方式。你在箱子里有電話本之類的東西嗎？
二毛：沒得！裡面就是幾件換洗衣服。
警察：這就難了，我們只能寄希望於小偷將小孩丟棄，我們除了多方尋找以外，別無他法。你們趕快回去把小孩的照片拿一張來，我們盡快把尋人啟事製作出來。你們自己也要各處去找一下。
（二人在街上到處尋找，「小毛，小毛。你在哪裡」的叫喊聲響切在重慶的夜空。警察在各處張貼尋人啟示。）

（小偷見到尋找小毛的尋人啟事，在一公用電話亭給周二毛打電話。）
小偷：你就是周二毛嗎？我是哪個？我是哪個你不要管，我原來還以為你是人販子，這好兒才曉得你不是人販子，是這個娃兒的爸爸。（二毛：楞個說，娃兒現在在你手頭的呀？）對頭，是在我手頭的，我也不想要你的娃兒，只是我有一事不明，你將娃兒擱到箱子頭做哪樣呢？（二毛：我只是想省一張機票錢！）哦！是楞個回事嗦！（二毛：像楞個嘛，你把娃兒還我，我把省下來的機票錢給你。）一張機票錢？一個小娃兒的半價機票錢？虧你想得出來！都這個時候了，你還在想省錢！（二毛：那你要好多嘛？）像楞個，我給你個帳號，你給這個帳號里存入一萬塊錢，我什麼時候取到錢，再通知你在什麼地方接娃兒。有一點要切記：絕對不能報警。

（二毛家裡）
二毛：小偷要一萬塊錢，你看啷個辦嘛？
素芬：一萬就一萬嘛！是娃兒重要嘛還是錢重要嘛？
二毛：就怕這些人不講信用，拿了一萬還要一萬，萬一是個無底洞，到時候娃兒沒有見到，錢又丟了不少。
素芬：要不我們還是告訴警察，看警察有哪樣辦法沒得。
二毛：要不得，要不得，你沒有聽說呀？萬一對方曉得了就有可能撕票！
素芬：啊！哎喲，小毛，都怪媽媽不好，是媽媽害了你呀！
二毛：這好兒哪裡是哭的時候嘛！
素芬：周二毛！都怪你出的餿主意，要是娃兒有個三長兩短，我不找你拚命！
二毛：（十分委屈地）雖然是我出的主意，還不是經過你同意了的撒。啷個就怪我一個人呢？
素芬：（上前捶打二毛，邊哭邊叫）就怪你！就怪你！你這個豬腦殼，從來沒有出過好點子，盡出餿主意！你這個豬！你這個瘟豬！
（電話鈴響）
二毛：喂（小偷：你啷個還沒有去存錢呢？）我馬上就去，馬上就去，但是我啷個曉得娃兒真的是在你手頭呢？（小偷：這個好辦。來小毛，喊你老漢。）（小毛喊：爸爸，我要回家！）幺兒，小毛，爸爸馬上來接你回家，你不要哭哈。
素芬：呀喲，謝天謝地，我的小毛還在。你還在這里木起做啥子！還不快點去存錢！
二毛：是是，我去，我馬上就去！

（二毛存完錢回到家裡）
素芬：錢存進去沒有？
二毛：存進去了！
素芬：現在啷個辦呢？
二毛：等撒，還不是只有等對方的電話。
（素芬焦燥不安地守著電話，盼著電話鈴響。）
素芬：啷個還不回電話呢？是不是對方變掛了喲？他不會打我們小毛哈？
二毛：你安心等一好兒嘛！你著一火急也沒得用。
（電話鈴響。）
素芬：（趕忙抓起電話）喂，在哪點呢？人民廣場？上正門的中間梯坎上？要得要得，我們馬上就去。（擱下電話）終於可以見到我們小毛了。快點快點，到人民廣場去接小毛！

（二人來到人民廣場，找了一圈，沒找著。）
素芬：人呢？小毛呢？說的是在這點了嘛！
二毛：就是，啷個沒在呢？
（二毛手機響。）
二毛：喂，人呢？（小偷：你放心，我臨時決定改在朝天門廣場，你現在就到朝天門廣場去接你們的娃兒，快點哈！你們要是緊到不去，娃兒摔到哪點，我可不負責哈！）快點去，改在朝天門去接娃兒。
素芬：啊！朝天門啦？啷個又變呢？
二毛：哎呀，朝天門就朝天門嘛！這些賊娃子精得很，他怕你把警察喊來了，他還不是要考查我們誠不誠實。
素芬：啊！我們還要接受罪犯的考查呀？
二毛：是撒，這有啷個法嘛？我們還不是只有照到別個說的楞個去做，即使朝天門也跟這點一樣，仍然是考驗我們的，我們還不是得先趕到那點去！
素芬：好，去嘛！去嘛！但願他少折騰我們幾個地方，要不然，我的心臟就要承受不住了。

（二毛手機響）
二毛：喂，是周警官啦？啊？小毛在你們手頭？好，要得要得，我們馬上過來。（關掉手機）走素芬，小毛在派出所的，我們馬上就要見到小毛了！
素芬：可是，剛剛賊娃子說的是朝天門了嘛！
二毛：可能是賊娃子遭警察抓到了個嘛！
（二人來到派出所，一進門就看見小毛）
素芬：（一把將小毛抱住，泣不成聲）小毛，幺兒，想死媽媽了！壞蛋打你沒有？
小毛：沒有打我，還給我糖吃了的。
素芬：這就好，這就好！小毛，都怪媽媽愛貪小便宜，差點把我們小毛丟了，二回媽媽再不會了。
小毛：媽，你貪啥子小便宜喲？我啷個不曉得呢？
素芬：不曉得就算了，反正媽媽二回一定不會把你一個人丟下。
二毛：警官，你們是啷個找到小毛的呢？賊娃子抓到沒有？
警察：還賊娃子，他已經從小偷上升到了綁架勒索，他第一次跟你打電話就被我們發現了，在一個出租屋裡抓獲了罪犯，找到了小毛。二回吸取教訓，改掉貪小便宜的壞毛病。
二毛，素芬：一定一定，我們一定改，今後絕不再貪小便宜了。
（一家人高高興興回家。）

(In the market.)
Girl: Sir, do you want any matches? If you buy ten boxes, I』ll give a 40 percent discount.
Jack: Sounds terrific. But I don』t have any money.
Girl: Please, sir, I haven』t eaten anything for three days. I』d like to exchange your cow with my matches.
Jack: Sorry, but I don』t need matches. Good-bye, and good luck to you.
Old man: Sir, since the sun is burning, would you like some ice cream?
Jack: Thank you, but I don』t really feel like eating ice cream. See you.
Mr. Bean: I have soybeans, mung beans, green beans, broad beans, green soybeans, peas, and above all, the most amazing beans in the world --- magic beans.
Jack: Wow, sounds wonderful. Beans is my favorite food, I can』t wait to have a bowl of bean soup. I want to buy all the beans with this cow.

Mom: Oh, Jack, you must have brought me lots of shining gold. Oh, I』m so excited. (Walked to Jack) What? You used our pretty cow to buy all this junks? Have you lost your mind?
Jack: Mom, these are no junks. There are soybeans, mung beans, green beans, broad beans, green soybeans and magic beans.
Mom: Magic beans? It doesn』t look magical at all. The vendor must be cheating you. I』ll keep other beans, but these magic beans, (opened the window) I』ll just throw them away.
Act 3
(The next morning)
Jack: Ah, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the breeze is whispering, it should be a perfect day. (He looked out of the window) Oh, my God, the magic beans have grown to a huge beanstalk! It』s can be true, it must be my imagination!
Prince: Help, help.
Jack: The voice came from the clouds, how strange! I must go and see what』s going on up there. (He climbed up. Then he saw the prince was stocked in a castle.)
Jack: Hi, what happen to you? How can I help you?
Prince: It』s a long stories, I』ll tell you only if you take one of my leg hair.
(Jack took the prince』s leg hair, and the prince became as small as normal people. The prince opened the door, and welcomed Jack in.)
Prince: Thank you a million for saving my life. How can I ever repay you?
Jack: That』s no big deal. So what』s your story?
Prince: Once open a time, there』s a greedy witch who would even destroy the world only to get my hen and harp.
Jack: Your hen and harp? I don』t see they worth it.
Prince: You don』t understand, the hen can proce many golden eggs, and the harp is made of gold it can sing beautiful melodies. One day, the witch turned me to a giant and flew away with my hen and harp.
Jack: What are you going to do now?
Prince: Of course I』m going to pay my revenge. Are you going to come with me?
Jack: Well, I』ll would like to, but -------
Prince: What?
Jack: My mom always told me 「No money, no help.」
Prince: Let』s make a deal—you help me to fight against the witch, and I』ll give you ten thousand golden eggs.
Jack: That』s the deal.
Act 4
(At the witch』s house)
Witch: One egg, two eggs, three eggs. Oh, I』m so rich, ha, ha, ha ---------
(Jack and Prince ran into the house.)
Prince: You devil, I』m here to fight for justice. Give me my hen and harp back.
Witch: Very well, you want your stuff back? Then you have to knock me down first.
(Took out a box) Here, pick two scripts to determine your destiny.
Prince: (picked a script) Oh no, Jack, I don』t know how to gamble!

Prince: Jack, you』re the best friend that I』ve ever had. But I belong here. This is my home.
Jack: (start weeping) But what about me? What am I going to do?
Prince: Trust me, you』ll be remembered in my mind until the end of time. In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the stars at nigh. You – only you – will have stars that can laugh.
Jack: I』ll cherish the memories we had together as sparkling diamonds.
(Jack』s mom was gambling)
Mom: (shouting) Oh, my God, oh, my God. Jack, I become a millionaire.
Jake: It』s time for me to go. Good-bye, my friend. Take good care of yourself.
Prince: So do you, my friend. (They hugged) Go, go, I have a surprise for you down there.
(Jack rushed down. He saw a present was wrapped neatly. He tore it off and burst out of yelling.)
Jack: (hold the prince』s toy tightly and walked to the window, smiling at the stars.)

I told him about the quarrel between Shylock and Antonio. We studied many lawbooks and he knows what I would say. I ask you to let him stand in my place and give judgement. He is young, but I never knew so young a body with so wise a head."
After the letter has been read out to the court, Portia, in lawyer's clothes, enters the room and takes her seat as judge.
