1.歷史方法

意識形態批評家認為，電影從來不是一些無意義的人間影像，而且，電影中那些看起來自然的社會和個人價值觀都應當加以分析。
寫作風格與結構
對電影的宏觀構想和執行那個計劃的細節之間存在著不可避免的差別。評寫電影也是相似的，我們最後表達出來的觀點或許已經改變初衷，或許最終表現平平。當作者遵循一定的規則或參考關鍵詞彙來反思一部電影時，一篇文章的實際寫作過程可能會變得相對容易。
