我們H3英語班終於把綠野仙蹤英文版給上完了！為什麼我這次要說英文版呢？其實不是說他這個版本，而是我以前看過中文版的不太懂它裡面所蘊含的東西，而英文版是我們班最近上過的，就來講講我現在讀這本書的感受。
故事一開頭是很悲劇，小女孩多羅茜生活在灰色的堪薩斯。突如其來的一陣龍卷風把她從堪薩斯刮到了奧茲國！盡管奧茲國很美麗，但多羅茜還是離開了他的嬸嬸和叔叔。她非常傷心。但是她的房子壓死了邪惡的東方女巫！她得到了東方女巫的紅寶石鞋！這鞋有無窮的法力，但小女孩當時並不知道。這時，善良的北方女巫出現了！他給多羅茜指點了一條「明路」(具體為什麼打引號後面會說)： 「沿著黃磚路走就能到達翡翠城，翡翠城裡有個偉大的奧茲魔法師可以送你回堪薩斯！ 」多羅茜高興極了，即刻就走。
後面她遇見了需要勇氣的稻草人，需要一顆心的鐵皮人以及需要勇氣的膽小獅經歷了艱難險阻，一起到達了翡翠城請求奧茲的幫助，但奧茲說有個條件，就是得殺了西方壞女巫！這幾乎令四人絕望，不過他們實在太想要得到奧茲的幫助了，就去了溫基國（西邊的小國家）。也是老天有眼，發生了奇跡，多羅茜居然用一盆水融化了西方壞女巫！鐵皮人還做了溫基國的國王。可悲劇的是，在他們回到翡翠城後，發現奧茲是個大騙子！他居然只是一個普普通通的人！不過奧茲還是為稻草人、鐵皮人和膽小獅想出了「辦法」，給了他們一些近乎虛假的東西！可他們卻心滿意足。其實這些東西在他們行進的途中已經不知不覺地進入了他們的體內！
這讓我想到一個寓言故事： 「一位父親死前對他那三個兒子說一塊長著葡萄藤的地里有寶藏，叫他們去挖。結果他們挖呀挖，葡萄架上就長出了葡萄！」 這就是，給你一個虛擬的 「目標」，你就可以在途中收獲其他東西！所以做一件事，不要覺得只有最「顯而易見」(其實還不一定能達成)的方面，還有其他方面呢！
但多羅茜呢？她怎麼辦呢？這奧茲也算是有點兒良知，他破天荒地做了一個氣球打算和小女孩一起回到故鄉（他的故鄉離堪薩斯很近）。到了起飛的那一天，她的小狗看見了一隻貓，從她的懷里溜走了！就因為這個原因多羅茜就沒趕上氣球！稻草人也隨之繼承了奧茲的王位！我當時設想了一下她的心情肯定絕望了！可是天無絕人之路，一個奧茲國士兵說善良的南方女巫可以幫助多羅茜，於是他們啟程。
中間他們經過一片森林，「膽小」獅因為殺了一個「當地惡霸」——蜘蛛怪獸，被百獸奉為森林百獸之王！最終他們到了南方女巫那，南方女巫說多羅茜自己腳上的紅寶石鞋就可以送她回家！於是她回家了。童話故事的結尾都是幸福美滿的。
所以人的改變很重要，就像稻草人他們仨，本來 「出生卑微」但最後各有各的職業和職位！還有多羅茜，如果她一開始就知道紅寶石鞋能帶她飛回去，就沒有「今天」的她！她在奧茲國也算是經過了一番歷練的！我相信，她「現在」 對這段旅程都還既回味又記憶猶新呢！
