電影特效的英文翻譯是：Special Effects。

在影視中，人工製造出來的假象和幻覺，被稱為影視特效（也被稱為特技效果）。電影攝制者利用它們來避免讓演員處於危險的境地、減少電影的製作成本，或者理由更簡單，只是利用它們來讓電影更扣人心弦。
