Fury is a gritty film, with great proctions values, really period vehicles, settings and costume. The acting is good, but it is let down by tow things.
Clichéd characters. There is the tough commander, the new kid, the slightly crazy guy. There are a lot of clichéd characters here.
Unrealistic battle scenes. Seriously I just switched off in the last scene. 20 or 30 SS guys with Panzerfasut would have destroyed an immobilied Sherman tank in 5 or 6 minutes. BUT 200 CRACK SS soldiers can't destroy a tank with its tracks off, sitting in the middle of a road????? The tank only has machine guns facing forward, so most of its sides are unprotected. Germans are carrying bazookas, but instead choose to shoot the tank with machine guns, which would not do anything? Seriously, one of the silliest, most unrealistic scenes in any war movie. Really spoilt what could have been a good movie.

This movie really drew me into the main character's world and kept me engaged all the way to the end. The opening is very strong and it's easy to get hooked in right from the start.
The movie is based on real life situations / events of gunrunners. It follows the life of a clever immigrant who realizes two basic needs of people: they need to eat and they need weapons. Regarding the latter, there's not a lot of competition and margins are high.
Nicolas Cage gives a brilliant performance and keeps the viewer interested in the lead character and his world throughout the movie. The supporting characters also deliver excellent, intense performances.
If you see this movie, you'll not only see a good movie, but you'll get an insight into the wold of international arms dealing. This is not a movie that presents material "over the heads" of viewers like some movies that deal in world affairs - it is easily accessible, understandable and enjoyable. Definitely recommended.

不過今天最大的收獲居然是在洗澡的時候獲得的,具體理論如下:阿信認為世界是由男人和女人組成的,所以我們身邊的故事也總是免不了會有男女參雜其中,而戰爭總是充斥著血腥,暴力,爭斗,那是屬於男人的,愛情充滿幻想,主觀臆測,是感性的,所以屬於女人,那麼什麼電影可以把這兩者融合在一起呢,那就只有戰爭愛情片了,此類影片影響巨大,老少閑宜,男女通吃,可謂經典中的經典啊.
