Julie & Julia is a 2009 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Nora Ephron starring Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Amy Adams, and Chris Messina. The film contrasts the life of chef Julia Child in the early years of her culinary career with the life of young New Yorker Julie Powell, who aspires to cook all 524 recipes in Child's cookbook in 365 days, a challenge she described on her popular blog that would make her a published author.

Ephron's screenplay is adapted from two books: My Life in France, Child's autobiography written with Alex Prud'homme, and a memoir by Julie Powell documenting online her daily experiences cooking each of the 524 recipes in Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and she later began reworking that blog, The Julie/Julia Project。 Both of these books were written and published in the same time frame (2004–06). The Lion King is a glorious animation that praises justice and love; castigates evil and conspiracy; shows respect to the principle of the circle of life; and discloses a philosophy of the whole world.
Simba, a young lion, is going to be the future king. But his vicious uncle, Scar, who is so jealous of him and his father, Mufasa, kills Mufasa and makes Simba leave guiltily. After years Simba has grown up and met his best friend, Nala, again and decides not to escape from his guilt any more.
The message is very positive. Disney makes use of the impression the public has of lions to show that even someone that seems to be really strong can be weak sometimes. No matter what comes , you should face it and deal with it instead of running away.
And I have concluded 3 sentences from the message the movie conveys after watching it for 3 times :the first one is "Blood is thicker than water" ;and the second "A friend in need is a friend indeed" ;third one also the last one "you need to have the spirit of looking back bravely and forward hopefully"
This is one of the best Disney's animations and I'm sure both alt and children will enjoy the story and music and won't get bored even if you watch it for a few times.

不知道為什麼，當影片進行到麥太與麥兜許願不再吃雞的那一段！麥兜：「...我希望我爭氣，媽媽不用擠眼淚，不用有更年期....如果媽媽開心......我願意以後都不吃我最最喜歡的雞！」麥太說：「......媽媽在外面，其實也不是一頭成功的母豬.....我每天回到家，最開心最開心就是能做一頓好吃的，看著你吃的樣子，這個使我能夠給你的最簡單最基本的幸福，所以，若果你以後不再吃媽媽做的雞，媽媽再也看不到你吃雞的樣子，那媽媽的一切就沒有了！」我眼淚止不住的往外溢，伴隨著陣陣心酸！我想到了我和我的媽媽。從麥兜身上，我看到了自己的影子。如果我媽媽能開心，我願意去做任何事！從麥太身上，我更感覺到的是媽媽。媽媽說過，她最大的心願就是可以看著我健健康康的長大！如果說每個中國人都可以從阿Q身上找到自己的影子，我卻從一頭小豬的希望里看到自己！有淚不輕彈，未到傷心處！一部《麥兜》卻如針尖一樣扎進我的心臟。

「一丁點兒」這個詞也是在影片中出現過很多回，剛看完影片時，我最不理解的是麥仲肥與麥兜故事有什麼關系！感覺很牽強。後來，「不會差一丁點兒 」讓我有了感觸，麥仲發明每樣東西總是差那麼一丁點，麥太經商總是差那麼一丁點，麥兜的學習也總是差那麼一丁點....做每一件事，總是差那麼一丁點而沒有做成！這是我除了笑之外的另一處尷尬！總是差那麼一丁點！在我們的現實生活中，有多少心底善良，努力上進的人們，然而總是因為差那麼一丁點而沒做成！難道這不正是說道我們的痛處嗎!生活，它是苦澀的！

感謝作者創作了麥兜，常看到一行字，本故事純屬虛構！然而，我卻在麥兜的故事裡體味到了，善良，心酸還有一個真實的世界！

This week I watched a movie named The Princess Diaries in our spoken English class. The movie is about a 16-year-old girl named Mia. She lives with her divorced mother who once married to a prince，who was Mia』s father. Mia did not know she was a princess until one day her grandmother, Genovia』s Queen visited her mother and her. Mia is lost when she is faced with such a huge responsibility to run a country. She is the kind of girl who can not even fit in. In fact if people are not being polite, she could be called a nerd. Only a very 『special』 girl is her good friend who criticizes Mia all the time especially after she knew Mia was a princess. Mia at first refuses to be a princess because she is not confident. She is really not good at speech .She always gets nervous that she even faints or runs away when speaking in public. However, Mia has to take the " princess lessons" and she needs to be a good princess in three weeks. At first, she feels embarrassed to admit that she is a princess. One day she finds out the dairy her father gave her as a birthday present, which said" The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all." She feels encouraged and attempts to be a princess; however, good things never go smoothly and she』s caught with a bunch of guys and newspapers exaggerate everything. She finds it hard to deal with the life of being a princess. On the day that her grandma is to announce the heir to the throne, Mia retreats and wants to flee away from becoming the queen of the country. However, that is a real rainy day and finally the pour-down wakes her up and she hurries to the palace and makes a great speech that she is the one for the throne. Then things are getting better, the princess and prince live happily ever after. Anne Hathaway plays the role of Mia. Anne is good, but she acts so corny or cheesy in this one. It』s such a girly movie and doesn't have any deep values that movies are supposed to have. Well, it's just one of those girly movies, meaningless and only good for a few laughs. The whole movie was so unreal and of course movies are never real, but it』s just… not good. Some of the movie parts annoy me a lot. How can the movie be so corny? I really don』t like it. Although I do not like this movie very much, but if I see it rationally, it』s still watchable and tolerable. It's also so predictable that if you snooze in the middle of it, you won't miss anything when you wake up. This is one of the few "kid's movies" that I wouldn't hesitate to watch with a kid, because it』s about how an ugly ckling becomes a swan. When we were kids it』s always great to know that every ordinary girl can become someone special. Girls will never lose hopes and try to be as amazing as possible .To some extent, that』s still an okay movie anyway.

"GONE WITH THE WIND" was a mad dream in procer David Selznick's brain and he turned it into one of the great soap operas of cinema history. The last re-release celebrated the film's 50th anniversary in 1989. This time, the three-hour and 42-minute epic has been remastered in digital sound and the color has been tinkered with to bring back the original Technicolor glory.

The movie plays its role in movie history, becoming one of the great box-office performers in the pre-Steven Spielberg and George Lucas days. The search to find Selznick's ideal Scarlett O'Hara, the willful Southern belle who would destroy several Southern gentlemen in pursuit of the man she loved but who didn't love her, was the talk of Hollywood.

Bette Davis, Paulette Goddard, Jennifer Jones, Katharine Hepburn and many others failed to capture the showcase role that would go to British stage actress and girlfriend of Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh.

The sexual tension and humorous byplay between Leigh and co-star Clark Gable, in the role of gentleman rogue Rhett Butler, was riveting. And so was Leigh's portrayal of a viper trying to consume the good-hearted Ashley Wilkes, embodied by the fine-boned Hungarian-turned-British actor, Leslie Howard.

Victor Fleming was the accredited director of the picture, and he won the best-director Academy Award for it, but George Cukor worked on "Gone With the Wind" (he was fired after 10 days into filming), and so did many others. Selznick was as hands-on a procer as ever there was, so his imprint is seared in the final proct. Selznick is said to have used 15 writers but to have written and directed key scenes himself.

Although the picture is responsible for fostering many unpleasant racial biases in its depiction of the slaves working at Tara, the O'Hara estate, and Twelve Oaks, the Wilkes' place, the movie also has the virtue of featuring some of the great black performers of the time, including the memorable Hattie McDaniel.

Some of the wonderful scenes to look for include Scarlett's throwing herself at the polite Ashley and then learning that Rhett has heard the whole embarrassing thing, the burning of Atlanta, the sequence leading to the birth of Melanie's child and Scarlett's plucky seamstress work with the drapes.

If you've never seen this on the big screen, you are in for a treat.
