裡面的主人公「哈利波特」，他是一個十七八歲的孩子。但他的思想和行為卻不是十七八歲的孩子能做到的。他從小受盡艱難。一出世，父母就被可惡的詛咒而死，可他卻奇跡般地活下來了。並且身上帶有常人沒有的魔法。所以他的養父養母就很害怕，害怕的同時也常威脅他。在學校，他可是人人皆知，只要別的人一聽見這四個字就遠遠地避開，害怕受到詛咒，所以他沒有幾個朋友。
